Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

We are looking for a trained EMT to be part of our team of emergency service practitioners. We deal primarily in routine medical transports and emergent situations. To be effective in the job, the ideal candidate must be very competent as well as self-motivated and compassionate. 

Our work load is made up of both routine transports and a significant amount of emergent calls (35-40%). EMTs will gain valuable experience in a variety of situations.

We offer an excellent pay and benefits package, including but not limited to sick time, paid days off, health benefits, shift differentials. $16.00-$20.00 an hour.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) Certification.
  • Current Valid Driver’s License with Insurable Driving Record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to 911 calls for emergency medical assistance, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or bandaging a wound
  • Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment
  • Provide first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients
  • Transport patients safely in an ambulance
  • Transfer patients to the emergency department of a hospital or other healthcare facility
  • Report their observations and treatment to physicians, nurses, or other healthcare facility staff
  • Document medical care given to patients
  • Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Record-maintenance skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the application of basic on-site emergency medical protocols and procedures.
  • Possesses good dexterity, agility, and physical coordination.
  • Ability to perform physical activity requiring full range of motion, bending, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying and walking. Motor coordination is necessary due to uneven terrain.
  • Ability to walk up and down the steps without difficulty and the ability to lift and carry 150 pounds up and down two flights of stairs (300 with assistance) without difficulty.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

  • Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises.
  • Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling objects over 150lbs.

  • Work with blood or blood-borne pathogens that will require OSHA training.

Paramedic / ALS Program Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated Paramedic/PHRN/HP who’s willing to use his/her experience to lead our ALS team.

Responsibilities

  • Providing patient care in inter-facility and prehospital settings, following PA ALS/BLS protocols.
  • Maintain accurate training and certification records of ALS Department personnel.
  • Responsible for ALS equipment/supplies expiration dates, stock, and timely purchase orders.
  • Responsible for facilitation and enforcement of continuing education for ALS department personnel.
  • Be a part of supervisors’ meetings and in-services, presenting reports on ALS program performance.
  • Be a part of advisory team on purchasing of new vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assisting with scheduling needs of ALS department

Compensation Overview:

  • Starting at $30-35/hour, experience based. Automatic overtime availability.

Job Requirements and Skills:

Driver

We are looking for a Driver to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include routine reports on the condition of the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, and managing payments. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Be punctual for shifts as early as 4:00am
  • Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
  • Collect payments and issue receipts
  • Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
  • Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
  • Report any maintenance issues

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Driver
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A clean driving record
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
  • Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
